NIO Capital co-led Series C round financing of Enkris Semiconductor, a company dedicated to R&D and industrialization of gallium nitride (GaN), the third generation of semiconductor material. The company, founded by Cheng Kai, the inventor of some GaN-on-Si technologies, has won praise from global clients and presented its latest innovation in renowned journals and international conferences. Up till now, Enkris Semiconductor has applied for nearly 500 patents, 150 of which have been approved.

Inceptio Technology has decided to apply Journey 5 chips of Horizon Robotics, a leader in energy-efficient computing platforms for smart vehicles, in long-haul logistics. Inceptio’s computing platform with self-developed Xuanyuan system for autonomous trucks will be equipped with two Journey 5 chips to fulfill high-efficiency and flexibility.

 

TRUNK, CMST Jointly Build Smart Bulk Commodity Logistics Transportation Project

 

China’s leading autonomous truck provider TRUNK announced cooperation with CMST, a domestic smart logistics firm, to establish the first bulk commodity intelligent logistics operation project. The two parties will build and run a service platform with 5,000 autonomous trucks to offer more efficient and economic transportation services in five years.

 

Pony.ai’s Newest System Featured on ICV Catalogue by Guangzhou

 

AION LX Plus, a vehicle model carrying autonomous vehicle start-up Pony.ai’s sixth-generation autonomous driving system, was included in the second Intelligent Connected Vehicle (ICV) Catalogue by the Guangzhou government. This marks another milestone for the company after passenger and commercial vehicles carrying its autonomous driving systems were listed in this catalogue in June 30, 2022 for the first time.

NIO’s flagship coupe SUV EC7 can be equipped with a new generation of black-gray smart dimming canopy. Electrochromic technology developer Ambilight Technology will provide the core color-changing material, black-grey electrochromic film, for the smart dimming canopy. This is another significant cooperation since NIO’s SUV ES7 was equipped with Ambilight all-solid-state automatic anti-glare rear view mirror.

Augmented reality glasses firm Nreal’s production reached a milestone after 100,000 pairs of their second-generation AR glasses rolled off the production line. Additionally, Nreal shipments in the fourth quarter of 2022 exceeded 70,000 units.

Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL), the largest EV battery provider in the world, produced its first batch of products in its first overseas factory in Thuringia, Germany. In this lithium-ion battery project, United Winners, a laser-wielding machine and automation provider, was named by CATL as the best supplier.
